“I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him[x] to the place of highest honor and supreme authority[y] in the heavenly realm!” – Eph 1:19-20

Leaders, with all that you may have going on in this season of your life, I want to remind you that God’s power is made available to you in every single way that you need.

The same power of God that raised Jesus from death has been activated in us.

Think about that for a minute

God’s power has been deposited into every believer, in order for us to live out our calling and purpose without growing weary or faint.

Christ is the head of the church and the church is the body. Each of us make up the body of Christ, and we have been called to do exploits in this time and generation…from right where we have been planted.

Leading a Life Group, serving in different areas of the church, working and handling our other life responsibilities, is no small thing… but it all brings glory to God.

This is what we live for… to glorify God in all that we do.

And we do this only by the power made available to us through the Holy Spirit.

Anything we do outside of this power, is being done in the flesh. And let me tell you, the flesh is weak and burns out quickly!

I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith.”

This is our prayer for us all as we press forward in fulfilling the mission of the Church.

Love God. Love people. Make disciples.

Great Life Group leaders pray for group members daily.

When you’re leading your Life Group, keep a prayer journal near you. As prayer requests, praises, or concerns arise, jot them down. Pray for these items throughout the week, and when you think of it, text or email those you’re praying for so that they remember how much you care.

Keep in mind, a great Life Group leader views prayer as a non-negotiable aid in their ministry to others. They build it into their daily schedules and make it a priority.

During this time of social distancing, many Life Groups have shifted to meeting virtually and are using ZOOM. If you did not receive an email with how to log into ZOOM please reach out to us and we will make sure to get the information to you.

As we get accustomed to being in virtual rooms together, there are some helpful tips you can share with your group that will improve your discussions online.

Being at home can often require us to multi-task especially with littles in our midst. In order to get the most out of the study, please settle yourself in one place where you can focus and minimize the distractions. Keep your little one occupied as best as you can.
If you must move around during the meeting, please stop the video. The movement can be distracting and take away from the person who is speaking.
Using Zoom on your smartphone does not allow you to see all members at once unless you swipe left or right to view them but it is important to listen intently while others are speaking to ensure that you give them a change to complete their thought or comment. If you are on a laptop or tablet, you may be able to see all members in a gallery view and see when others are speaking, being careful not to interrupt or talk over someone.
There is a “Reactions” button that allows you to clap or give a thumbs up. Another way to interject is perhaps raise your hand in the video. This will help you, the moderator to better facilitate the discussion and keep things flowing smoothly.

Please continue to meet each week with your group and check in often with each member of your group. This is vital during these times.

Submit attendance weekly and include the names of all visitors/guests when you report attendance.

Add notes to keep us posted on how members in your group are doing.

Remember to reach out to your group members during the week especially when they miss or have specific prayer requests.

*This is a high priority for us as Life Group leaders during these times of social distancing.

Who are you identifying and giving opportunities to serve and lead in your group?  This is how we build more Life Group leaders.
